Cherry

To claim a Cherry, your piece must push your limits.

This can be in style (point of view, tense, format) or in content (dealing with genres or subjects far outside your normal realm), and what constitutes pushing your limits is up to individual discretion. However, cherries should not be taken lightly. Writing the piece should actually make you somewhat uncomfortable or challenged, or make your readers say 'wow, never would expect that to come from you!'

You may claim a cherry up to 3 times in a row for the same reason. After that, if you continue to post the same thing (say you're writing a new canon or an AU and you're going to challenge yourself to do the whole thing in 1st person, which you normally never write) you may not continue to claim cherries.

On the other hand, if you post a particular thing very rarely, you may continue to claim cherries for it - if it still feels like a challenge to you. So if you post a poem in May and another in December and 2 more the following April, they can all be cherries.
